Washington escalates Cuba oil restrictions

U.S. authorities have arrested 90 fuel shipments that were headed to Cuba, valued at nearly 3 million dollars, as part of Washington's oil blockade against the communist island. The shipments were destined for the company "Inetic," which has been under U.S. sanctions since July 2023, and most of them were spotted at Havana Port. Washington affirms that the shipments would have been delivered through entities subject to sanctions, while Cuba considers U.S. threats to be illegal. The conflict between the two countries has continued since Trump's return to power in 2025, with Washington imposing an oil embargo on Cuba, which is already suffering from a severe energy crisis.
