Israel anticipates extended winter in southern Lebanon

An Israeli report reveals that the occupation army is preparing for a long-term presence in southern Lebanon during the winter season. Fortified positions have been set up and access routes improved, following the completion of the 55th Paratroopers Brigade's mission and the transfer of surveillance and control tasks to other forces. The troops will be stationed in protected compounds within villages, equipped with sanitary and electrical facilities, amid concerns over reduced readiness and increased targeting. The report mentioned the destruction of over 600 Hezbollah sites, and the existence of large stockpiles of weapons stored in homes. It also anticipates an expansion of Israeli defense operations into Lebanese territory, reaching the outskirts of cities like Tyre, turning the so-called "Yellow Line" into a security zone within Lebanon.
