Ministry reports 892 mining site inspections in August

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the Kingdom conducted 892 regulatory inspections of mining sites during August 2026 across various regions of the country. These inspections aimed to ensure compliance with the Mining Investment System and to protect mineral resources and the surrounding environment. The visits covered areas including Riyadh, Mecca, the Eastern Province, Nahran, Jazan, Medina, Qassim, Tabuk, Hail, Asir, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, and Al-Bahah. The ministry's goal is to increase the utilization of mineral resources and support the mining sector to become the third pillar of the national industry in line with Saudi Vision 2030, with resource values estimated at approximately 9.3 trillion riyals, spread across more than 5,300 sites.
