Shesterkin sidelined for season due to injury

The New York Rangers’ early NHL season took a downturn after star goaltender Igor Shesterkin suffered a lower-body injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season. The injury occurred during a game against the Washington Capitals and was caused when his skate jammed into the post, resulting in a serious injury. Shesterkin, who had a strong start to the season, was helped off the ice and replaced by Dylan Garand, with the team also dealing with additional goalie injuries.
