LA councilmember protests Skid Row drug crackdown

A recent police operation in Skid Row resulted in the arrest of 28 individuals accused of drug offenses and involved multiple agencies, including the FBI, DEA, and LAPD. The raid targeted drug trafficking of substances like fentanyl, meth, cocaine, and PCP, seizing drugs, guns, cash, and luxury items. Los Angeles City Councilmember Ysabel Jurado criticized the operation, claiming it disrupted residents' access to their belongings and essential services, while federal prosecutors defended the crackdown as a necessary effort to combat drug-related crime in the neighborhood.
