Iraq Today: Brothers' Dream Lost at Sea
Two Iraqi young men lost their lives by drowning in the Aegean Sea while attempting to reach Europe through irregular migration routes. This incident serves as a reminder that the journey of migration endangers the lives of migrants, and the problem is worsened by unemployment, corruption, and difficult economic conditions in Iraq. These factors drive young people to risk their lives in search of job opportunities and safety outside the country. The report emphasizes that addressing the crisis requires improving employment opportunities, education, and stability within Iraq to prevent further disregard for young lives driven by despair over the current situation.
