Ghazl El Mahalla Defeats Alexandria SC
Ghazl El Mahalla Club achieved its first victory of the 2026-2027 Egyptian Premier League season, defeating Al Ittihad Alexandria 2-1 in the seventh round. This comes after a poor start that led to a change in the coaching staff, now led by Khaled Gholam. For the Fayoum team, Abdel Fattah Shata and Amr Gomaa scored in the first half, while Hossam Hassan scored for Ittihad in the second half. With this win, Ghazl El Mahalla's points total rose to 4, placing them 19th, while Ittihad's points remained at 13, in fifth place, after suffering their first defeat following a series of victories.
