Micron Expands Rare Earth Processing in US
Micron Technology, an American company, has announced an increase in its rare metals processing capabilities in New York through its investment in Indium Corporation. The goal is to strengthen the semiconductor industry's supply chain in the United States and reduce dependence on imports. This investment is part of Micron’s plan to invest over $250 billion in technology and manufacturing in the United States by 2035. It is expected to contribute to expanding the manufacturing and refining of high-purity critical metals, thereby enhancing the resilience of advanced chip supply chains.
