Al-Saidi Affirms No Family Links to Muslim Brotherhood
Abdulrahman Al-Sayed, the Democratic candidate for the Michigan Senate, denied any connections between himself or his family and the Muslim Brotherhood, asserting that claims of dual loyalty or links to Islamic terrorism are false. These statements came in response to attacks from Republicans, including Trump’s former vice president, J.D. Vance, who accused him of sympathizing with groups linked to terrorism. The accusations also involved old statements made by Al-Sayed's sister about her involvement with the Brotherhood in the 1970s. Al-Sayed clarified that his mother separated from his father when he was three years old, and emphasized his full commitment to the U.S. Constitution, warning against judging him based on unsubstantiated allegations.
