Trump: Abdoul Sayed Linked to Muslim Brotherhood
During a speech, U.S. President Donald Trump accused Democratic Senate candidate from Michigan, Abdulrahman Said, known as "Abdul," of belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood, claiming he was proud to be affiliated with the organization and had been a member for years. Trump emphasized that there could be no member of the Muslim Brotherhood sitting in Congress holding positions on our security committees. He also described Abdul as "extreme and complicit with terrorism," asserting that he traces back to the days of jihad, and urged voters to support his Republican opponent, Mike Rogers, whom he considers a good candidate. Abdul responded by affirming that his name is Abdul and that everyone knows him, adding that Trump is continually attacking him to distract voters from the policies that affect them. These remarks are seen as part of the election campaign, as Abdul is vying for a Senate seat amid Trump's declining popularity, with the election results determining the future control of Congress.
