South Yemenis Reaffirm Call for State Restoration
The events in Southern Yemen celebrate the anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, reaffirming their commitment to restoring the independent southern state within its internationally recognized borders prior to May 22, 1990. The gathered crowd was called upon to support the Southern Armed Forces and to enhance their readiness to defend borders and security, with praise for the sacrifices made by the resistance across multiple fronts. The statement also emphasized opposition to targeting civilians and civilian facilities, viewing the South's struggle as a national issue related to land and identity, while rejecting the introduction of sectarianism or regional conflicts into it. Additionally, it reaffirmed the South’s right to independence, calling on the international community to recognize this demand, considering the restoration of the state a legitimate right according to international sovereignty charters. It was also emphasized that such a move would contribute to strengthening stability in the region.
