Iraqi officer rescues boy from drowning
Social media users in Iraq expressed gratitude and admiration for a heroic gesture by an Iraqi officer with the rank of Colonel. He rescued a boy from imminent drowning at a swimming pool in Dhi Qar Province during the pool's opening ceremony. Despite his limited swimming experience, the Colonel jumped in fully clothed to help the boy, who had suddenly suffered a muscle spasm that left him unable to swim. This act reflects the noble humanitarian image of the Iraqi army and its spirit of sacrifice. The incident has been recorded as an example of bravery and humanity, emphasizing that such actions reveal the true character of men, even as some people question the accuracy of the story or suggest it might have been prearranged training.
