US embassy reports detention of Americans in Saudi Arabia
The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh announced the detention of American citizens due to their filming of recent events in the kingdom, pointing out that Saudi law prohibits sharing information about missiles and drones, and that such actions could lead to legal accountability. This comes amid an escalation of Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, including targeting airports and oil facilities with missiles and drones, along with increased security warnings from the United States to American citizens in the region. The developments encompass an escalation of military and political tensions in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, with ongoing attacks, airstrikes, and Houthi threats, while the kingdom continues to implement security measures and issue warnings to its citizens about the current risks.
