Belgium's FM says Europe delays denounced
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot expressed his displeasure with the European Union's delay in taking action against Israel, noting that his country would implement national measures to pressure the Israeli government, including banning products from illegal settlements and freezing some trade agreements. He emphasized the need to unify the European stance and to move more swiftly to pressure Israel to end its practices that violate international law, such as ongoing aid restrictions to Gaza and escalation in settlement policies. He also underlined the importance of making progress in the political process through Palestinian elections, calling for an end to extremist statements and promoting peace based on a two-state solution.
