Australian preacher denies false links
The article covered an incident involving an attempted attack aboard a Fly Dubai plane traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv in September 2026. The co-pilot, an Omani, attempted to assault the captain with an emergency axe before being restrained and the passengers and crew were saved. The UAE Attorney General announced that the co-pilot had adopted extremist ideas during his studies in Australia and was linked to the "My Center" Islamic center in Melbourne, run by a Lebanese named Abu Hamza, who indirectly denied the accusations. Investigations revealed that the suspect was following extremist content online and was familiar with the "My Center" organization, without bringing criminal charges against the organization or Abu Hamza. The article highlights the danger of extremism that has appeared in the suspect since his studies and concludes with the successful rescue of the plane and the minimization of the incident's impact, despite neglecting some details related to the report's requirements.
