Yellow line encroaches on Gaza borders
The article discusses the movement of Israeli forces westward to the "Yellow Line" in the Gaza Strip, leading to a change in the agreed-upon borders and the encroachment upon large areas of land and homes. As a result, the region behind the line now constitutes approximately 64% of the Gaza Strip's area, home to about 2.1 million Palestinians living in tragic conditions, with many houses destroyed and shortages of housing and essential services. The organization links this ongoing expansion by Israel to statements by Israeli officials expressing their intention to make these changes permanent, involving forced displacement and reducing the chances for Palestinians to return. Although a year has passed since the ceasefire, violations continue, with over 1,400 Palestinians killed since the agreement's inception, and the humanitarian crisis deepening due to shortages of water and food, as well as the destruction of infrastructure. The article emphasizes that the international community must intervene to protect the population and support the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
