US deputies charge Trump with treason over Russian diesel
The article mentioned that U.S. President Donald Trump announced an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin allowing the sale of Russian diesel to global markets, aimed at increasing supply and lowering fuel prices that had risen due to regional tensions and the war with Iran. However, this agreement faced criticism from Democratic leaders in the Senate, with accusations of treason, and was considered a move that conflicts with the sanctions laws enacted by Congress to reduce Moscow's financial resources to fund its war against Ukraine. It is also noted that this agreement is seen as provocative despite American efforts to cut Russia's energy export revenues, and it comes at a time when pressures on oil markets are intensifying.
