Turkish Justice Minister on Gaza's legal test
The article discusses Turkish Minister of Justice Ağın Gorkel's statements, which reflect the significance of the Gaza issue as a test of the credibility of international law. He emphasized that what is happening in the sector highlights disparities in the application of international justice, noting that Israeli authorities prevented two Palestinian ministers from attending an international justice summit, while they allowed the Israeli Prime Minister to participate despite an arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court. Gorkel pointed out that issues such as wars and human rights require the consistent enforcement of the law, and that ongoing violations of Palestinian rights reveal a flaw in the integrity of international justice. He called on the international community to defend the rule of law and basic rights in a fair manner.
