French PM blames left for election unrest
French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu accused the radical left of attempting to incite chaos ahead of the upcoming presidential elections through escalating student protests, which have led to acts of violence and clashes with police since September. He pointed out that the student movement, supported by trade unions, includes efforts to plunge the country into disorder, noting that most injuries among students occurred accidentally or were caused by outside elements unrelated to schools, with some serious injuries, including a hand amputation and an eye injury to a student. These incidents come amid rising tensions about six months before the presidential election.
