Fly Dubai deputy pilot trained in New Zealand
The New Zealand police have stated that the flight attendant assistant, who attacked the pilot of "Fly Dubai" last week in an attempt to down the aircraft with an emergency axe, was in New Zealand between November 2018 and May 2019 to complete part of his flight training for a UK-based company. Immigration records show that he arrived on November 30, 2018, and left on May 23, 2019, and that he no longer works in New Zealand. Authorities are currently verifying his period of stay there. The incident is being considered a terrorist attack, and it is believed that he is from Oman and goes by the name Hmam Al-Hammami, although his identity has not been officially announced.
