Israeli troops neutralize Hamas leader involved in October 7
The Israeli army killed Hamas leader Ibrahim Abu Ubaimer, who participated in the October 7, 2023 attack. The assassination was carried out in Nuseirat in central Gaza using a drone. This comes as part of Israel's efforts to eliminate threats posed by Hamas, especially following its attempts to rebuild its capabilities and violations of the ceasefire agreement. Hamas has not issued any comment on the incident, and the operation occurs within the ongoing military escalation following the group’s attack last October.
