Rebeka withdraws due to injury
Kazakhstani Elena Rybakina, the world No. 1 in tennis, has announced her withdrawal from the 2026 Wuhan Tournament due to a foot injury, shortly after winning the US Open title. She explained that she is suffering from ongoing issues in her lower leg and foot, which forced her to withdraw from recent matches, including the Beijing tournament and the Cincinnati quarter-finals. Rybakina is focused on recovery, and is expected to return to competition at the Ningbo Tournament to defend her title, having become the first player to qualify for the season-ending championships after winning all four Grand Slam titles.
