Verstappen's first win of the season at Bahrain
Max Verstappen won the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia after a chaotic rain-affected race that featured constant tire strategy changes and a long delayed start due to the rain. Verstappen achieved his first victory of the season and his first since the Abu Dhabi race, overcoming stormy conditions and numerous incidents to secure his 72nd career win. The race ended with Verstappen finishing 2.307 seconds ahead of Kimi Antonyli, with a strong comeback from Hamilton who finished third, while George Russell was forced to retire before the end due to a power unit failure. The World Championship lead shifted to Antonyli, who now leads Russell by four points.
