Gulf Cup 27 Talaytish Departs Bahrain Coach
The Bahraini Football Association has terminated its contract with Croatian coach Dragan Talajic following the team's disappointing performance at Gulf Cup 27, where Bahrain lost all three of their matches and exited the competition early. It is worth mentioning that Talajic took over the national team in February 2024, succeeding Argentine coach Juan Antonio Pizzi. Bahrain is now seeking a new coach to lead the team in the upcoming fixtures, especially with the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals approaching in Saudi Arabia. Among the rumored candidates is Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, who is looking for a new challenge after his tenure with the Ghana national team. There is a keen interest in quickly finalizing the coach's identity ahead of the Asian Cup scheduled for January 2027.
