Iran Revolutionary Guard reports oil tanker blast
An explosion occurred on an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, where it was targeted by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy with a missile, resulting in an explosion onboard. Reports indicated that the tanker was being escorted by American forces and had its tracking system disabled upon entering the strait, while another Omani tanker left without sending a signal. These events come amid Iran's restrictions on the passage of ships connected to Israel and the United States since late February. The Iranian military has affirmed its readiness to confront threats, increasing its military preparedness, and described its capabilities as a strategic deterrent that discourages enemies and thwarts their attempts to achieve their objectives inside and outside Iran.
