Lebanese army confiscates smuggled TNT
The Lebanese Army confiscated today, Thursday, 245 kilograms of highly explosive TNT, which had been smuggled across the border from Syria. The seizure was accompanied by four explosive devices, detonators, and electric weapons during an attempted smuggling operation, in which the smugglers fled back into Syria. This comes as part of ongoing efforts to combat smuggling across the 330-kilometer border between Lebanon and Syria, especially since the fall of Bash Assad's regime in 2024. The focus has been on weapons smuggling and Captagon pills, while Hizbullah denies any involvement or activity in Syria.
