Allicance downs Houthis missile to Riyadh
The coalition led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen focused its reports on intercepting and destroying a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward the Saudi capital, Riyadh, after the Houthis announced plans to target the cities of Riyadh and Yanbu. The coalition confirmed that the Houthis attempted to target civilians and civilian objectives in the cities of Bisha, Taif, Jizan, and Yanbu, and that its air defenses successfully thwarted these attacks. This comes amidst the Houthis’ escalation in their breach of orders, aiming to target sensitive sites such as Aramco facilities, reflecting their persistent intention to deliberately target civilians and civilian assets. The coalition also emphasized its right to respond with what it deems appropriate under international law.
