Egypt plans Sinai growth via Arish port and railway
The Egyptian government is working on developing the Al-Arish Port, located on the Mediterranean coast in Sinai, with the aim of promoting comprehensive development and enhancing trade between Europe and Asia. The projects include expanding the port and connecting it to a network of railways and highways to increase exports and settle the population in the area. These initiatives are part of a broader development plan recently announced, with investments exceeding 600 billion Egyptian pounds over the past ten years. The goal is to achieve economic, social, and security benefits by harnessing Sinai’s natural resources and facilitating transportation and trade movement.
