Mounir Al-Barsh Reflects on Final Farewell to Son
The son of Dr. Munir Al-Barsh, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip, was buried after being martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Jabalia Refugee Camp in the northern Gaza Strip. Video clips showed poignant moments of farewell between him and his father. The incident echoes a previous tragedy when his daughter Janan was martyred about three years ago in the same area, highlighting Al-Barsh’s suffering and resilience amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza. It is worth noting that Al-Barsh was one of the prominent health leaders who managed the humanitarian crisis during the war, demonstrating his sacrifices and stand against halting work in hospitals despite the shelling and resource shortages.
