Russia reports NATO boosts Arctic military
The head of the European Affairs Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that NATO is rapidly increasing its military presence and intensifying its training exercises in the Arctic region without any justification, through launching a permanent mission and military drills such as "Northern Viking." He explained that these activities align with the alliance's goal of turning the area into a geopolitical confrontation zone with Russia, while Moscow considers these steps a threat to its national security in the region, despite NATO's assertions that its activities are purely defensive in nature.
