Russia condemns Ukrainian assault during elections
Russia experienced an Ukrainian attack using 350 drones aimed at Moscow, coinciding with the start of voting in the first legislative elections since the outbreak of the war. These attacks led to a temporary closure of polling stations in Sochi due to a drone warning, amid heightened security measures and elevated security tensions. The elections are taking place under exceptional circumstances, with fears of attacks or provocations intended to disrupt the voting process. French President Macron condemned the Russian attacks, called for the protection of vital facilities, and responded to the threats with an European reaction.
