Saudi Arabia declares end of threat
The Saudi Civil Defense Authority announced that the danger has subsided in Riyadh and all areas that had previously received warnings of potential attacks or dangerous events, following the escalation of tension between the Kingdom and the Houthi movement in Yemen. The warnings had included several cities and governorates, such as Riyadh, Al Kharj, Abha, and Jazan. This development comes after the Houthis' escalation of military operations, missile attacks, and drone strikes targeting Saudi targets, including launching 26 airstrikes targeting Taiz Governorate from Khamis Mushait Base. Additionally, the Houthis have imposed a naval siege on Riyadh since July. The United Nations Security Council condemned the Houthi escalation, warning of threats to navigation in the Red Sea and the increased risks of regional conflict expansion.
