CNN details Trump's media ban behind scenes
A CNN source revealed that some White House staff, including members of President Donald Trump's communications team, were surprised by his announcement of a ban on media outlets such as CNN, Politico, and MS NOW from entering the White House. This was communicated through a post he made on the "Truth Social" platform. Since the announcement, Trump has not clarified whether this ban was planned long in advance or if there were specific reasons for it, nor has he taken any concrete steps to implement it so far. He only stated that "there is no reason." The American network and other media outlets are facing legal opposition and protests from human rights organizations and Democratic legislators, who see this as a violation of press rights and constitutional amendments. Some journalists expressed their surprise that no actions had been taken following the announcement. This move comes amid previous tensions between the White House and the media, representing an escalation in efforts to control coverage of news related to the US administration.
