Trump Announces Greenland Deal
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States has reached an agreement with Denmark and Greenland granting Washington permanent control over security matters and sensitive investments on the Arctic island. He clarified that no adversary of the United States will be able to establish bases or military presence in Greenland without explicit written American approval, with no set end date for the agreement. This move reflects Washington's interest in Greenland's strategic location and mineral resources, and demonstrates a desire to strengthen the U.S. military presence in the region.
