Trump bans CNN from White House
The article discussed U.S. President Donald Trump's threat to ban CNN, MSNBC, and Politico from entering the White House, claiming they had been publishing false news. It noted that the decision "takes immediate effect," but no actual measures have been implemented so far. CNN confirmed that such a ban constitutes an illegal assault on their right to cover the news, while journalistic organizations criticized Trump's decision, deeming it unconstitutional—particularly violating the First Amendment, which guarantees press freedom. The article also reviewed previous instances of restrictions on journalists during Trump's administration. A White House official denied there was any specific reason for this threat, pointing out that similar actions had been taken in the past against a CNN correspondent.
