Defense Naval Coalition Meets for Fourth Time
Saudi Arabia held its fourth meeting of the Multinational Maritime Defense Coalition in Jeddah, with the participation of 41 countries and 154 naval leaders and representatives from the international community. The discussion focused on enhancing operational readiness and unifying defense efforts. The meeting emphasized improving cooperation, defining each nation's contributions, and executing operational tasks to protect maritime freedom of navigation—especially in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait—in light of threats from the Houthis and their naval blockade imposed on Saudi Arabia. The coalition reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding international shipping lanes and deterring any threats to maritime security.
