The brutal massacre committed by the Japanese forces in Malaysia during their occupation in World War II remains vivid in the consciousness of the local population, especially the victims of Yui Lang Lang village, where 1,474 civilians were killed on March 18, 1942. Japanese troops carried out a random massacre and set the village on fire, with survivors suffering stabbing, mass executions, and other atrocities. Their testimonies still recount the brutality of those events. This incident is considered one of the largest massacres during the occupation, and survivors emphasize Japan's repeated denial of its involvement. They stress the importance of acknowledgment and proper historical documentation to preserve the suffering of the victims.
