The article discusses the efforts of Moroccan political parties to attract young voters to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for September 23. These parties are making promises to create one million jobs and to make significant investments in infrastructure in preparation for the 2030 World Cup. It highlights that young people struggle to trust politicians, as their participation in voting remains limited due to repeated unfulfilled promises and declining confidence in parties and the political system—particularly amid the youth unemployment rate, which reaches 27%. This situation has contributed to increasing protests and collective mobilizations at borders. Despite economic progress in sectors such as ports, phosphate mining, and energy, unemployment and social inequalities remain major challenges, with widespread dissatisfaction still prevailing regarding the country’s economic and social policies.
