Israel outlines new borders near Ramallah
The article focused on the Israeli escalation in the West Bank, including extensive settlement projects such as the establishment of 104 new settlements and the expansion of main roads connecting the settlements to the occupied territories. It also reports on the confiscation of water sources, the destruction of agricultural areas, the conversion of ancient roads into multi-lane pathways, and significant investments in archaeological sites to strengthen the Israeli presence. These actions lead to the displacement of Palestinians, an increase in unemployment and poverty rates, a lack of job opportunities, and Israel's withdrawal from its economic responsibilities toward the Palestinian Authority. The situation indicates a fundamental shift on the ground and in the political landscape, with Israel moving toward asserting sovereignty over the West Bank and weakening the prospects of establishing an independent Palestinian state.
