Recovery of remains of 55 Gaza victims
The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced the recovery of 55 bodies and remains of Palestinian victims from beneath the rubble of a building in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza, which was destroyed by Israeli strikes two years ago. Rescue operations still face significant challenges due to a lack of heavy equipment and vehicle fuel, with approximately 10,000 bodies missing beneath the debris, according to unofficial figures. The Civil Defense called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to provide the necessary equipment to save additional victims. Despite obstacles, the operations continue, while the Israeli army continues to regularly carry out airstrikes on the sector despite the declared ceasefire.
