The UAE Rugby Federation will field four teams in the 56th Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens, which will take place from 27 to 29 November at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai. The Shahin team will be represented by two sides—one in the international division and the other in the local division—while the two Al Maha teams will compete in the local division and the under-19 category. The federation’s secretary-general, Mohammed Sultan Al Zaabi, said the tournament gives male and female players the opportunity to gain experience and test themselves against a variety of playing styles. It also supports the development of the national teams and helps broaden participation in the sport.
