Pirlo criticizes Al Dhafra's big loss and calls for fighting players
Andria Pirlo, the manager of Al Wahda, expressed his disappointment after losing 5-0 to Al Dhafra in the sixth round of the Professional League. He emphasized the need for the players to be modest, focused, and prepared to fight, especially after conceding five goals and lacking the fighting spirit. He clarified that the poor performance led to the team experiencing similar losses, with their points tally remaining at 7, amid criticism of the players' performance and their lack of competitive spirit. On the other hand, Al Dhafra's coach, Patrice Carteron, praised the good morale of his team and hopes that this victory will be a starting point for the team's comeback, especially after scoring five goals in a single match for the first time since the 2016-2017 season, raising their points total to 6.
