Guardiola regrets City conviction
The Spanish newspaper "As" has confirmed that Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, is feeling guilty after the club was convicted in a financial violations case that involved 114 charges out of 115 brought against it. He did this in order to protect his reputation and coaching legacy. Despite his status as one of the most prominent managers in football history, his recent reaction on social media and his continued support for the club reflect his concern about not having his personal image negatively affected by legal issues that he may not be directly responsible for. He is scheduled to attend the team's match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on October 14 to support the club, especially as he seeks to defend the team's reputation and the legacy he built during his time with City—particularly since he was present during two periods considered to have raised financial suspicions, namely the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons.
