Hoeneß criticizes Bundesliga officials
French player Michael Olesen, the Bayern Munich winger, appeared angry and tense during a match against Schalke, expressing his dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions in the German league. He criticized the referee for not being firm enough in dealing with the rough tackles from the opponents’ defenders. He confirmed that the referees lack consistency and decisiveness, noting that he was subjected to violent challenges from the opposing players, which led to him being fouled and pulled away from his teammates to avoid receiving yellow or red cards. This came after he felt wronged in several previous matches. Such behavior is unusual for a player known for his calm demeanor, and some interpret his actions as a reaction to feeling insufficiently protected against aggressive tackles. He expressed his wish for referees to be stricter to ensure that rough conduct does not go unpunished.
