Tunisia squad updates with Sassi and Maaloul returns
Moncef Sliti, the head coach of the Tunisian national team, announced the "Carthage Eagles" squad for the upcoming matches in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for 2027 against Uganda and Botswana. The list includes the return of Ferjani Sassi and Ali Maaloul after their absence from the 2026 World Cup, as well as the return of players from the Qatari league. Some players were excluded due to injuries and retirement. The changes compared to the World Cup squad are significant, involving only 14 players who participated in the recent tournament, with opportunities given to new faces.
