Irbid Agriculture Finishes Locust Control Training
The Irbid Directorate of Agriculture concluded a specialized training course in the operation, maintenance, and calibration of spray equipment used for desert locust control. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's plan to enhance the capabilities of technical staff and improve field readiness to confront the pest. The course targeted locust control engineers and technicians from northern governorates, aiming to develop their skills and ensure the efficiency of spraying devices. This, in turn, boosts preparedness for quick response and effective control operations. This initiative is part of the Ministry's efforts to develop the plant health and quarantine framework and to reduce the threats facing the agricultural sector.
