Mars crosses Pleiades stars in Jordan
The planet Mars will appear at dawn next Sunday, passing visually between the stars of the Nothra cluster in the constellation Cancer, according to the Jordanian Astronomical Society. This phenomenon, where Mars aligns closely with the stars for a few minutes, will provide skywatchers with an opportunity to observe the movement of planets and explore the star cluster, which is approximately 600 light-years from Earth and contains about a thousand stars aged between 600 and 700 million years. Amateur astronomers and photographers are advised to observe using telescopes and cameras to track the changing position of Mars in the sky.
