Ballooning Event and Future Festival in Wadi Rum
An international event for free skydiving from balloons and air sports was organized in Wadi Rum, involving about 16 professional skydivers and pilots from Europe. The event continues until October 10. Its aim is to enhance Wadi Rum's status as a global destination for desert tourism and adventures, increase the number of balloons, and develop aerial tourism, in addition to promoting Aqaba and Jordan internationally. The program also includes a visit to the city of Aqaba and preparations for launching a global balloon festival in Wadi Rum in the summer of 2027. The project provides over 70 local job opportunities.
