Fish die-off in Euphrates raises ec0 concerns
A large number of fish have died along the banks of the Euphrates River near Raqqa, amid concerns of an environmental disaster. The causes are currently unknown, but it is possible that some fishermen used toxic substances such as cyanide or electrical shocks during fishing. Field tests on the water and fish are necessary to determine who is responsible, as toxins can harm aquatic life and pose health risks to humans if contaminated fish are consumed.
