The article focused on Amman Municipality's efforts to improve sidewalks in the capital areas, aiming to provide safe spaces for pedestrians and protect the green cover. This is being achieved through removing obstructive trees and, when necessary, relocating them to suitable locations. The statement clarified that the work is limited to trees that hinder pedestrian movement or pose a danger, while ensuring that trees suitable for transplantation are carefully relocated to nurseries for replanting later in appropriate areas. The municipality also emphasized that its efforts include planting between 120,000 to 130,000 saplings annually, with the goal of increasing green spaces and enhancing the quality of life in the capital, while prioritizing safety and selecting suitable species for planting.
